OK, I know I have a lot of nerve waiting over 4 years to continue my UGG Legacy (Uglacy). But, I have reinstalled my game, and found that the neighborhood is surprisingly still intact (I really thought that I overwrote the data), and that I can indeed play this once more! It's almost like a Phoenix rising from the ashes - but way uglier.

What really helps is that AnyGameStarter will finally, finally work for me, opening up a whole new world of possibilities - being able to play with different amounts of cc without having to try to move a ginormous downloads folder to do it. With an Uglacy, I feel that the less cc I use the better, as it seem to really help uglify everyone and everything. It's too bad I was afraid and waited over 4 years to try reinstalling, but now - onward!

I have played beyond what is currently posted, but believe me when I tell you that Hanley and Iago are the clearly the ugliest sims I was able to get from Generation 4. There is little point in putting all the possible heirs to a vote, since according to my sons and husband, these two are decidedly the ugliest.

Hanley Thayer

Hanley is the son of Garridan Thayer and Marisa Bendett.

Iago Thayer

Iago is the son of Fulton Thayer and Sandy Bruty.

There is a 3 to 1 winner in my house so far, but I'd like to do a poll here, which is up in the left top sidebar. I'll also be putting this on LiveJournal now that I have one. Please vote and let me know which of these will be the heir so I can finally move him home from college. In the future, I will try not to wait so long to choose an heir. ;)

Ch. 10: Lean, Mean and Green

Just to let you know, there will soon be a poll for the heir of Generation 4 -- as soon as my blogging has caught up to that part of the story, that is. Bear with me a little longer if you can. Soon you can help put the madness to an end by helping me decide who is the ugliest - a spawn of Fulton or a spawn of Garridan.

Back to our story: Joe Carr is here to introduce Chapter 10.

Uh, Joe?

"Oh, um... what?"

Just kidding, Joe. Go back to your smustling attempt. After all, it is costing you $27 an hour. Make the most of that, LOL.

Sims are so gullible.

However, I am proud to say that my simself was the only sim I noticed who after some thought was wise enough not buy a ticket to Meadow Thayer's Uglacy. I guess I should have given myself a free pass.

At least Fulton is permaplat now that he's a Hall of Famer, so I won't have to worry about him as much anymore.

Not that they really need it, but the family brings in extra money sometimes doing some personal training out in the garage.

"Blond Goopy" doesn't like to get personal training from Rose, though. He weeps with sadness because she got on the exercise machine to show him how to use it.

Wow, sensitive...

This is just a random picture illustrating how annoying some of the Bon Voyage greetings can be. Back in college Garridan briefly dated a girl named Carla who was from Twikki Island. I don't remember him learning "Hang Loose", and he stinks at it, but he still feels compelled to use it on everyone. He looks like he's going to fall over. Thankfully, no one else has picked up the island greeting yet.

What is the deal, Garridan? Remember, Hang Loose, man. He doesn't want to be a personal trainer for this guy and looks miserable at the thought of it. At least he isn't crying.

Marisa reached the top of the Slacker career, the job she had when she joined the family. It really isn't that helpful as it isn't her Lifetime Want.

And Sandy, LOL, is now a Mad Scientist. I don't know why there is champagne on the sidewalk. It was just there -- possibly to celebrate? Anyway, just like Marisa, Sandy's career was not her Lifetime Want.

But I agree that Sandy is a bit mad.

The home business is still what it always was, although it's getting close to 10 stars despite my mean sims' efforts to tick off the customers.

I had no idea that this was the reporter or that she was evaluating the business. I was very surprised to get a Best of the Best award -- especially since we allegedly "know what we're doing" and actually managed to impress the woman.

Maybe the business is doing better because I've been keeping Ackerley busy with gardening. He really doesn't have much to do anymore., so it keeps him from ticking off the customers or spying on Mortimer as much.

Except...

Now he's a plant. But thankfully he's a knowledge sim, so he doesn't mind. He's happy being a plantsim. I built him a greenhouse now and added a few grow lights there and inside the house on the main floor to keep his sunlight need satisfied better.

Of course, he makes a great personal trainer when he isn't tending his garden.

"It's go time! All aboard the pain train! Hey you puny Brussels Sprout, you'd better give it all you got or you'll never be pumped with fiber and iron like me!"

I decided I wanted a wishing well, so I had Ackerley try to get into the Garden Club. I had no idea the Garden Club hated pink flamingos. It makes sense because flamingos are tacky, but I didn't expect that any sims actually had good taste. ;)

Of course thanks to Ackerley's hard work they were still able to get the wishing well with no problem.

Alright, here's what you've probably come to see: the teen picture of Iago and Hanley. I wasn't trying to hold out on you, it's just that I had to catch up the story. ;) I shipped them directly off to college where I'm delighted to say their faces did more exploding.

Aspirations and turn-ons/offs in case you care.

College Iago looks just like his dad Fulton to me.

College Hanley looks a great deal like his father Garridan except he doesn't really have the Cro-Magnon brow. I think perhaps the large brow on Garridan actually made his face a little more balanced, LOL. It also looks like Hanley is trying to be like his Uncle Chesley with the headband.

BTW, apparently Chesley now wears a suit for his everyday outfit instead of pajamas. It's so strange to see him dressed so formally.

Garridan achieved his Lifetime Want of becoming Education Minister. Again, less micromanagement makes me happy.

Gotta love some of these chance cards when they bring in an easy $40,000. Fulton decided to "give speech" instead of "smile pretty."

How does all the trash get into the CleanBot? I have it to clean up bottles and plates, but when it malfunctions it spits out all kinds of stuff. I guess it's just one of the great scientific mysteries of the sim world.

Yep, now that Hanley and Iago went to college, Garridan and Marisa now have another baby boy named Kermit. Kermit is a Celtic name meaning free. Let's just hope he looks like a frog. Notice that bed-making is still the traditional way for fathers in the Thayer house to welcome new babies into the world.

Fulton and Sandy also had another baby boy. Fulton also makes the bed to celebrate. Anyway, this is little Job. Job is Hebrew meaning the afflicted. If you are familiar with the Old Testament you will know that Job was seriously afflicted with all sorts of troubles, and that his name is pronounced with a long "o" sound and not like the work type of "job." Let's hope little Job will be afflicted with some serious ugliness.

What is it Fulton? What could be so frightening?

Oh, it's just your naked wife Sandy. You are married, remember? So now just flush the toilet while she's in the shower. I'm sure she won't mind.

Oops, maybe she doesn't like being scalded with extra-hot water after all. My bad.

As soon as she griped him out, she autonomously grabbed him for a make-out session. I guess she enjoys making up by making out. Silly romance sims. Of course, Marisa had to barge in to swoon at Fulton. Stop it, Marisa! You have your own ugly man around here somewhere.

Kermit has turned toddler and shows absolutely no desire to look like a frog.

Similarly, Job as a toddler doesn't seem to be very afflicted with ugly yet. These two kids appear to be a waste of space so far. :P

Rose who is a Fortune sim has finally rolled a few family wants to train Kermit in his toddler skills.

It's heart-warming to watch. I have really liked Rose. She has been a pleasant, easy to please sim who is good at taking care of herself. As a matter of fact, I love her because I could ignore her almost all the time. Too bad her life bar is so full now, because I will actually almost miss her.

Sandy and Marisa have not been so easy to keep happy, however. They are both high-maintenance - always wanting things they can't have.

Sandy does not seem like the type to be a Mad Scientist, does she? I would have changed her job, but I was too lazy.

I don't mind the $55,000 chance card, though. The answer was green this time in case you're wondering.

Speaking of green, there's a lot of it in this picture. Ackerley really loves his Rose. Come to think of it, it makes sense that her name is Rose in light of him being a plantsim.

And now it is time to say good-bye to Rose. BTW in case you're wondering, Bill Door is the name of Death in the book Reaper Man by one of my favorite authors, Terry Pratchett.

But Rose is excited to be going somewhere finally. She always had a vacation in her wants panel. Even though the family owns 3 vacation homes, she has only been able to go on one vacation. Poor Ackerley looks like he is wilting from sadness.

Although nothing perks up a sim like looking at a "Best of the Best" award. :P

Of course the phone kept ringing during the entirety of Rose's passing moments. The phone was for her, of course. Calling back later won't make her undead, lady.

And now that there is one empty space in the Thayer house, it is time for another baby.

This time it is a contest between the two couples to see which one can fill the empty slot. ;) They are trying for baby at the exact same time.

So guess who won the baby lottery?

Ackerley gives a gift to Fulton after passing on the business perks. It is full of produce, LOL.

"Son, don't tell your brother, but you have always been my favorite, and I really hope you will be heir."

He also passes on business perks and produce to Garridan, who appears to be afraid he is receiving a bomb.

Secretly, Ackerley thinks both his sons who are vying for heir are doofuses. He doesn't really care who is heir, he's just worried about who will care for the children when he is gone. Neither of his sons or daughters-in-law are competent parents in his opinion.

Time for Kermit to become a child.

Other than wearing green, he still has no frog-like qualities.

Let's see if Job will become afflicted.

No, he isn't very ugly yet. Darn.

And now finally the ugly twins have aged to a ripe old age...

Yep, still ugly - perhaps a bit more so now that they are elders.

And now for retirement so I don't have to really care about you anymore.

Same for Garridan.

Headmaster time again, this time to get Kermit and Job in. I get so tired of doing these, but at least it usually goes well.

And finally another baby. This time we actually got a girl. Her name is Leah, which means weary. I'm getting weary of kids that aren't ugly. Please be an ugly girl, Leah.

Speaking of weary, this chapter is coming to a weary end. Has Marisa become weary of living, or is she just stupidly hungry for cake? Maybe she assumes that this is some early birthday cake since she is a couple of days from elder. Tune in next time when you may find out... stuff, such as how much longer this heir contest can go. Ch. 9 The Heirship Is Up in the Air

I apologize for the lack of updates. My unreliable internet connection has made blogging very difficult. I finally got a modem upgrade a few days ago, and so far things are much better.

Now back to the ugliness if you dare look...

Winter is a time of fertility... at least it is here at the Thayer house. Both Marisa and Sandy are expecting. I could never pick an heir for Generation 3 between Fulton and Garridan. They were just so flipping ugly -- each in his own special way. So I decided I will pick the ugliest heir of the 4th Generation. Fulton and Garridan will share the title of heir until such a time as I have decided on the ugliest of their children.

"Booga, Booga!" Meadow must be trying to send Fulton a message to eat more fruit.

Somehow I doubt regularity is a problem for Fulton at the moment.

Meadow still loves her bed. However, I'm sure Ackerley and Rose would prefer that she not walk through them like that.

Russ is happy with his bed, even though it's not really his bed -- just an upstairs one he got away with sleeping in sometimes. But who am I to argue as long as he is a happy ghost.

Mortimer never tires of shoving around the peeping-toms at the Thayer house. At least Ackerley doesn't cry like a little girl.

There really seems to be no reason to peep at Mortimer when we have so much skin here. Sandy loves her undies and parades them at every possible opportunity. As you can see, there's a lot of waddling parades now.

Speaking of undies, Marisa is also fond of showing off hers as well. This picture is not for the faint of heart, and possibly crosses some serious boundaries of decorum. And that's not to mention that it looks physically impossible to dance like that while that pregnant.

Hey, all I do is report what happens. I can only control so much of what these stupid sims decide to do.

Katy sitting over there on the couch shows impressive restraint by keep her head and eyes facing forward instead of gawking at the ugly spectacle before her..

Nice. Now I see that my sims not only make lobster thermidor for themselves, but are serving complimentary lobster to the customers. Sims have no business sense whatsoever.

Alvin Futa didn't seem to mind eating free lobster with 2 nearly naked ladies. As you can see, he's trying to get an even closer eyeful of Sandy's nether regions. Hey Alvin, eyes on the lobster you underage perv!

Pains from all that dirty dancing? I wish. But it's time for a potentially ugly addition to the Thayer family. Ackerley is trying to remember what he should do. Panicking is generally what sims do (unless they're busy making the bed), so he's doing just fine. Sometimes people want to boil water, for whatever reason, but sims don't have that option in their menus.

Soon there was a whole line-up of sims who didn't know what to do, putting up their hands and looking skyward -- possibly beseeching me for an answer to the question of the meaning of life. Garridan is hiding behind his dad for safety. He's heard the stories of women in labor sometimes being violent.

"Woo-hoo, may I have your attention please? Now that everyone is present and accounted for, this meeting will now commence. First up on the agenda: This his hurts like hell! That, and I think it's here! Is anyone taking minutes? Where's Garridan? He did this to me!"

But soon the meeting was adjourned, and Marisa was only thinking of how beautiful her baby boy Hanley is. Hanley means "of the high meadow."

Have you ever seen a really ugly mutt? You know that they all start out as adorable puppies, which is why people adore puppies. It's just when they grow up that you know what they really look like. Babies in the sims are like that.

As soon as he's born, Sandy tries to swipe Hanley. Her plan is to claim him as her own so she doesn't have to go through the labor process herself.

Of course, her plan didn't work. Fulton is definitely feeling a bit of hostility from Sandy. He's going to go away to a safe distance now and assume the skyward-looking position with his hands in the air.

Soon Sandy's pain is over and she holds little Iago, another beautiful baby boy who is probably doomed to be at least as ugly as his parents. Iago is the villain in Shakespeare's play Othello. Let's hope he turns out to be villainously ugly.

So we finally break tradition by having a cake for Hanley's toddler birthday. Of course, it was glitchy and didn't work. Thankfully, I have the baby controller from MATY to grow up babies when they get glitched.

Here is Hanley. He appears to have some major potential in the lip department.

And now let's see how Iago looks. He's already ripping his father's heart right out of his chest.

He's a little cue ball with lips. He looks like he will have big cheeks as well.

Ackerley does not look pleased with me for having him retire. Poor General Thayer, I know he was upset enough over losing his helicopter ride when I made him drive his car to work. Now he will have to give up the uniform too.

But Ackerley is a really good grandfather just like his father Russ was. He always rolls up the toddler-training wants.

Before I knew it, the twins had learned all their skills and were ready to become children.

I love it when they are synchronized...

More and more I'm seeing that except for their red hair they, they look exactly like their fathers did. This doesn't help me at all, boys!

Hanley looks thrilled to be getting lessons in lying from his grandpa. Hey, it least it doesn't give kids a shock. Actually, I was pretty disappointed that it doesn't. ;)

Hanley's smart milk wore off which is why he's getting extra tutoring. Iago is still extra smart, so he skills alone. Hanley is actually using the punching bag too. He is taking advantage of the extra-cool glitch that allows you to be trained on multiple career rewards at the same time.

If you don't know about this, it's worth learning. If you have a very skilled sim and several career rewards, have the sim wanting to learn "ask for lesson" from the skilled sim. Then when the blue learning meter is over their head, have them "ask for lesson" again. It can be on the same career reward or a different one. They will continue learning the first thing while starting to learn another. Do this several times, and your sim will learn at a very rapid rate.

And now the twins do a synchronized spin into teens. Will there be an obvious uglier twin?

Ch. 8: Obfuscate

I really like Blair, but I decided to have him move in with Beverley and Phoenix to make room for the heir's spouse and future children. Sorry, Blair.

So do you think I decided yet? Who do you think the heir will be?

Now would be a good time to show you Fulton and Garridan's Lifetime Wants. At least they both have reasonable goals. This will give them a much better chance of dying of old age. ;)

Not that it really matters, but Rose had a want to get a gold badge in robotics, and she fulfilled it.

I figured as much, but I had to try. Someday this will be a future member of the Thayer family if there's ever enough room and someone with a good aspiration & personality at the same time to initialize it.

Sometimes the place is just overrun with complaining customers. Time to send Brandi home before she sends Rose or Garridan into aspiration failure. Rose seems glad that Brandi is mad, or maybe she's just glad that Russ doesn't take any crap from her.

Meadow passed away, but since Fulton was on a date I missed knowing about it until it was too late to get a last picture of her. Meadow was an easy-going, pleasant sim. She was a good wife and mother. She achieved permaplat by reaching her LTW of becoming Education Minister. She was cute, had a cute voice, and loved to Smustle while making funny faces. I used to think she was a stuck-up brat, but she really grew on me. I will miss her.

Russ was asleep when Meadow died, and he took an aspiration hit. Thankfully he's permaplat so it doesn't matter.

Russ inherited the home business. Ackerley was Meadow's favorite child, while Beverly didn't even get a mention. Well, it's harder to keep relationships high when they don't live in the same house, and I'll admit that all the stupid "chat with" wants that only give 100 aspiration points usually go unfulfilled. Fulton and Garridan tied for Meadow's inheritance money.

So the problem with Sandy Bruty was that I was trying to have her date the wrong brother. She and Fulton have much more in common, especially since he's a romance sim.

Speaking of romance sims, I like how they are able to simultaneously attract and repel other sims. Brandi Broke is swooning and gagging over Fulton at the same time.

See, a perfect match. Feeling nauseous?

And now the time has come for Russ to join Meadow. He was a really good sim. He was a great husband and father and really easy to please. He was wonderful to Meadow, and was always the one who wanted to teach his children. He achieved permaplat status by reaching his golden anniversary. Plus, he stood his ground instead of crying when other sims tried to push him around. I will miss him.

Ackerley inherited the home business, but then he is Russ and Meadow's only child living at home. Russ was closer to his daughter Beverly than Meadow was. Fulton and Garridan received an equal amount of inheritance from Russ, too, making this heir decision harder.

Here are their graves in the backyard. They will never be facing the right way again unless I keep turning them that way. :P What's up with that?

Here is the one day I let Ackerley ride in the helicopter. I'm sure he's disappointed that I make him take a car the rest of the time. As a vain sim, I'm sure he enjoys the attention the helicopter gives him, but I can't stand listening to it and watching sims be distracted with their hands over their ears.

And here is a picture of Rose coming back from work as a tree-hugger. What does she do for 24 hours (in that skimpy outfit no less) that saves the earth and makes her so happy, yet stinky? Maybe I don't really want to know.

Speaking of Rose, the SentryBot went haywire and tried to kill everyone starting with her.

I think it also hurt Garridan pretty badly, although I didn’t actually see it happen. I sent him to fix it, and the next thing I knew he was lying on the bathroom floor with an orange plumbbob. Thankfully, he was was okay after some food and rest.

Yes, Garridan thinks Carmen Patch is hot. No, I promise I didn't let him blow bubbles during Uni. He got a 4.0 and used the college clock to finish ahead of schedule. Maybe the SentryBot fried his brain, or maybe he just needs an eye exam.

Carmen finds his jokes hilarious. It would seem a perfect match... But, alas, it is not meant to be. His heart belongs to another:

I have other plans for him than to let him marry a clone of his mother. I want to shake up the genetics a little. Marisa isn't very ugly, but I have seen her offspring get some ugly noses.

Besides, Garridan has 3 bolts for Marisa. How could I deny him someone with so much chemistry?

With 3 bolts it takes no time at all until they are in love.

So why waste time? Jan would really like to stand right in the picture and interrupt this special occasion by complaining about a dirty plate on the dining room table, but I keep x-ing out that idea.

Finally, I am able to maneuver the camera angle just right so that I can get a picture the happy couple alone.

And then the firetruck showed up. Was it the heat of their passion? The flames of their burning love?

No, it was just Fulton setting fire to the kitchen again.

I know what you're thinking. You're thinking that I went and made Garridan heir. Well...

Pucker up, buttercup. *blergh* Only Daniel Pleasant was strong enough to be a witness.

Marisa's Lifetime Want is stupid, and she's not going to get it. The main focus of this Legacy is ugly, so I'm not going to waste time away from the main lot any more than is absolutely necessary, cause this is the science lab where we try to make even more ugly, or UGG-ly. So far, no one has been to a community lot, except that I made an exception when they were on vacation at Three Lakes.

Yes, a lullaby was heard. Does this mean that Generation 4 is on the way? Is Garridan the actual, bona fide Generation 3 heir? Wouldn't you like to know?

I thought it was sweet that Russ and Meadow decided to go on a haunt together one night.

Meadow, maybe you can shed some light on this heir situation. Do you have a choice for heir?

She didn't say anything or give me any kind of sign. I guess she is as undecided as I am. Dangit.

It seems that the sentiments are split fairly evenly from what I can tell. I do have a favorite, but I'm not telling who. I thought about doing a poll, but I really don't feel like waiting around for a week or so to get the results. I know myself, and I have a very short attention span. A poll would throw off my groove. I would then go start a different project, and the UGG Legacy would be no more. As it is, I am making myself not go off and play anything else until I see this Legacy through. So anyway...

Simultaneous elderification.

Errrghhhh... sorry, but I had to put his in as proof of how badly Maxis must hate older women. Rose is "fit," so why can't she look thinner and a little less saggy? It seems that the women look so much worse than the men when they age. To see the contrast, refer back to the earlier picture when she was an adult. She wasn't even fit the last time she wore the fig leaves.

Fulton and Sandy are sitting in the car discussing the size of her bust. Silly Romance sims.

"Ron, I should tell you, most Muggles aren't exactly accustomed to seeing a flying car."

Oh, wait, this isn't Harry Potter, is it?

When the time was right and neither of them had an active fear of engagement, it was time for Fulton to pop the question.

I love this picture: Fulton sporting a red engagement ring over his head, strutting his stuff to go flirt with Sandy.

Sandy moved in, bringing us a whopping $1000. That's right, she's moving in. Could this mean that Fulton is really the heir?

Oh my gosh, LOL! This was totally unplanned, and very funny that Fulton chose the formal wear of his role-model and look-alike Gage Uglacy to get married in.

That's right. I was able to find a moment when neither of them were afraid of tying the knot. That's not an easy feat.

Do you wonder if Fulton is the heir? Do you hate me yet? LOL Are you kicking yourself now wondering how you got yourself into reading my stupid blog?

Apparently, Sandy forgot about the flying car incident a little while ago. That reminds me of the Madonna song, "Like A Virgin."

And yes, another lullaby in the Thayer house.

Ch. 7 Face It, They're Ugly

Have I mentioned how much I love the SentryBot? Gosh, I love it! I bought several tempting gnomes just so I could watch the constant zapping.

Fulton reached his teens, and I must say I am impressed, or at least I was impressed until he did this to me:

He rolled the Pleasure aspiration. I hate trying to keep Pleasure sims happy. They're always wanting to do something pointless and/or stupid for 500 aspiration points.

Meadow's face is frozen in that horrible expression again with her tooth coming through her cheek. I think it must be a frozen look of horror at the sight of her youngest grandchild. Hooray, he's grotesque!

At least Garridan is a Fortune sim, which is a good aspiration. It ties with Knowledge as my favorite aspiration to play because it's usually not too tedious to earn aspiration points.

I wasted no time getting them to Uni, as they had enough scholarship money to pay their fair share of the rent. Fulton and Garridan moved into a rental house with their brother Evers and their sister Darcie. As you can see, the young adult stage is even uglier than the teen stage. Hooray again!

Evers actually looks really decent again when you put him next to his little brothers.

Here is a better, er closer view of Fulton so you can really see the damage. I'm so pleased with how both the twins turned out. Fulton definitely gives Gage Uglacy a run for his money. They could be brothers.

The twins are not only the ugliest so far, but they're the meanest. They're always hurting each other playing "punch me-punch you" and when playing catch. I am loving Garridan's look in this picture.

The Gen. 3 Thayer family invited over Uncle Chesley who is the placeholder at the UGG Greek house so that they can ask him to join. Evers was friends with Uncle Chesley and was invited to join right away. Evers invited the others over to the Greek house and asked them to pledge, and then he just kept inviting them back until they could be moved in.

The twins' big sister Darcie isn't pretty, but she hasn't begun to approach the degree of ugly that her twin brothers did. However, this guy is one I can keep in mind if I get a female heir.

Darcie fell in love with Skylar. For now Darcie and Evers will be joint placeholders for the Greek house, but eventually I may let her marry Skylar.

Fulton broke the computer and got a lecture from his perfectionist big brother Evers.

Since it broke at night and they needed the computer for term papers, I had Fulton fix it. He does have a few mechanical points. He was successful, but I can't say whether it was because the llama dude was cheering him on or in spite of it.

Another regular visitor was Bubble Tester Dude. He came by once to test the quality of their bubbles. He only visited once, but I'm pretty sure he never left, and was still there after the twins graduated. I'm sure he'll still be there when their children go to University providing his valuable service in quality testing. It isn't like it matters that much anyway, since my sims aren't allowed to blow bubbles unless it gives them aspiration points or they sneak away to the bubble blower. I only keep the stupid thing so they'll stop clogging their wants panel with "buy a bubble blower."

Looking for Godzilla?

Garridan just likes to make this face. He doesn't have to have a reason.

Poor Garridan fell victim to all the free pizza at the Greek house. Now he'll have to work out.

Our former placeholder Uncle Chesley was finally allowed to graduate. He has a large nose, but other than that he had too much Meadow in him to have competed with his brother Ackerley who ended up being Gen. 2 heir.

Chesley had the laid-back island attitude about life. Life is a pajama party for him, as that's what he wore to most Uni activities when he wasn't wearing his Hawaiian headband and bowling shirt. I think this is the first time I've seen a sim go home in pajamas. He's going to move in with his sister Beverly.

Of all sims, Fulton got Heather Huffington for a date, and they actually had chemistry. It's mind-boggling.

On their second date, he got his first kiss from her. What is she thinking?

At the end of Fulton's sophomore year I decided to re-roll his aspiration, and he got Romance. To me, that is just as bad as Pleasure, but it does make him even more like Gage. I guess Gage must be his role model.

Of course Heather has no hope of joining the Legacy for more reasons than I care to list, even if she did have money.

This has to be one of my favorite pictures so far in this Legacy. I did edit the picture from a large screenshot, but I promise that is what she said and the look she made when Fulton asked her about her skills.

Fulton doesn't care one iota about her money or her skills, and he figures there's at least one more thing that she's good at besides kissing.

And he really wants to take things to the next level. Oh, but too bad for him. I'm not inclined to let him have his way with her. I know, I'm so mean.

For $5000, Garridan was able to get a blind date with a Twikki Islander named Carla Reamon.

She looks as if she may meet the qualifications. (ugly) They had good chemistry and a good date. Sadly, when she was invited to come as a houseguest to visit, my game was on triple speed and she didn't get greeted.

I tried to make it up to Garridan by having him invite over Sandy Bruty. He had a 90 daily relationship with her, but it still wasn't enough for her. It's a good thing he didn't ask her on a date.

And here is Garridan, also graduated and ready to go home. Evers and Darcie will stay at the Greek house until the next generation arrives.

And here they are back home. I'm not really sure what Garridan's deal is with the kimono, but whatever. He can wear what he wants.

One of the first things they do is set fire to the kitchen, but they're more concerned about countertop space at the moment.

And so do you think I'm any closer to making a decision about the heir? I will have to decide sometime, won't I? Tune in next time to see what my solution will be.

Ch. 6: Woohoo, A Vacation!

I really like the astronaut uniform, although I only got to see it for one day this time. Ackerley got promoted to General on his second day in the military. To celebrate, I've decided to have the family go on a vacation.

Ahh, who am I kidding? I want to let Meadow and Russ have a little more time together before they die.

The twins finished their homework right after school so they wouldn't have to worry about it when they got home from vacation. Now they're making up for their loss of fun. Wow, look at those faces! I am loving these two. I have a feeling it will be very hard to choose an heir this generation.

Meadow is packed and ready to go to Three Lakes. She's been waiting her whole life for this kind of experience. She and Russ were dirt poor when they got married, and they have been busy working and raising children and granchildren ever since.

Rose got home just as the rest of the family were leaving. I was concerned the she would be left behind and miss out on the vacation.

On a positive note, Rose is now an Ecological Guru which also fulfilled her Lifetime Want of Earning $100,000.

Rose did get left behind on the home lot, as she had no option of getting into the shuttle. Fortunately, she somehow caught up with them at Three Lakes where the family owns this cabin called Villa di Simoleon. It was a nice cabin, but it did need some work when they first arrived. It was smaller than they thought it would be, but the twins were perfectly fine sleeping in beds the living room.

The first thing Meadow did was head straight for the hammock and stayed there.

Seeing Meadow with one eye shut reminded me of a little rhyme I learned as a kid:

"Birdie, birdie in the sky
Why'd you do that in my eye?
I'm a big girl I don't cry.
Aren't you glad that cows don't fly?"

Although I doubt Meadow got hit in the eye by anything like that or I don't think she'd be smiling right now.

She wouldn't get out of the hammock until I made her. I wondered why everyone else was just lined up waiting to walk to Lumber Mill Range. They were all waiting for her to get out of the hammock. I guess they didn't want her to get lost.

Of course it had to rain a lot at Three Lakes. What's a vacation without a lot of rain?

The Thayers had a positive attitude despite the rain, although I have no idea what Garridan is unwinding from.

Log-rolling and slap dancing at any time are not what I would consider fun, but it's also raining. Even though it's crazy, sims just can't get enough of these activities at Three Lakes.

Home cooking at the cabin is cheaper and definitely more satisfying. Thank goodness they invested in their own vacation home instead of staying in a hotel or camping.

Rose shares her "fragrance" with Fulton by cutting the cheese across the table while he's eating. Classy.

Lightning started this fire, but according to firefighter Mitch Lawson, they should be more careful next time. I can't think of how they could be more careful unless they chopped down all the trees.

The adults hired a Nanny to watch the twins while they went to Smooth Rock Spa, since there really wouldn't have been anything interesting for the kids to do there. They all learned Deep Tissue Massage and got in the hot springs.

Taylor looks grateful that the client is face down for the massage.

Ackereley never tires of admiring himself, even on vacation. I have no idea why he wore his General uniform on vacation. Maybe he was hoping to impress the locals. You, know I'll bet that's why he wanted to go into the military in the first place. After all, he is a Knowledge sim, so it really didn't make much sense at the time he rolled up the want. It's that he's a vain sim, and he thinks the uniform makes him look especially good. An inordinate amount of his free time is spent gazing into his hand-held mirror. He carries it with him everywhere he goes.

Meadow and Russ decided to try out the sauna's romantic possibilities. I'm somewhat confused at how they managed public woohoo in there without apparently moving. I would think that when the fog cleared, they would at least be sitting next to each other. So much for cuddling.

Sadly, I overestimated Meadow's bladder capacity on one of their family outings. Hey, she should know to go before leaving the house. But I am sorry I didn't get her home faster. I don't think anyone else saw her, so her secret is safe with me... and the whole internet.

Oh yeah, I nearly forgot to mention the tour they took that ended in a swarm of angry bees chasing them. Apparently, I'm not very good at these vacation chance cards.

Ackerley found a map to a hidden burrow and went in search of Bigfoot. As a knowledge sim, he had a strong desire to see if the legends were true. As you can see, he found him and danced with him to make friends with him. Everyone else in the family was afraid they might meet Bigfoot, so they didn't volunteer to come along on his quest. Knowledge sims never fear the unknown, but embrace it no matter how smelly and hairy it may be.

Too bad we can't breed Bigfoot into the UGG Legacy, but I suppose that would would make it even more disturbing.

Staying at Three Lakes was the closest thing to a honeymoon that Ackerley and Rose had experienced.

The family bought a few tents just for the experience of tent-camping, and for other recreational activities. I had no idea how little privacy they would have at their own vacation home. The Bobble-Head Girl girl came running up to the tent when Ackerley and Rose were in there "wrestling" and was very offended about the tent activities. I guess she must have been walking by, because I had never seen her before.

Garridan told the girl not to worry because his parents were just wrestling and that he didn't think they were hurting each other. She just walked away in disgust after that. Garridan was curious, wondering which of his parents had won the match. He heard them wrestle at home on their bed sometimes, but when he asked them when he could try it they told him he would understand wrestling when he was a grown-up and changed the subject. He asked his grandpa Russ too, who just laughed at him and told him he would learn about wrestling when he hit puberty. He didn't know who this Puberty guy was, but he hoped he would teach him to wrestle someday because it sounded like fun.

Ackerley never tires of making lobster thermidor. I guess he doesn't concern himself with the cost, so it's a good thing that they can afford it or I'd have to start locking him out of the kitchen and leaving out Jello for him.

Almost before they (or I) knew it, they were home again. I wish I had taken more pictures of the vacation, but I think they had a good time. As you can see, Ackerley brought home a friend named Blair. I don't know if the rest of the family was as thrilled as he was, but there are advantages to having a Bigfoot live with you. They have all their skills and badges, so they can make quite a bit of money and are great as business employees. However, they may make up for that in the volume of food they consume.

As you can see, Blair wants to be a Space Pirate. Well, why not? He's certainly got a look about him that is intimidating enough.

Also, the people at work send gifts home with him every day. Maybe they are afraid and want to stay on his good side. I have read that Bigfoot can go nuts if he gets hungry or bored, although I have yet to see that happen personally.

Anyway, I make sure Blair gets plenty of long baths. He won't take them on his own. I look at it as an opportunity to distract him from eating for a few minutes.

I sense that Ackerley is not having fun. I think Meadow should slap him for looking at her that way. Meadow started a home business venue, and she is passing along a couple of connections perks to him. I cancel and restart the process frequently which seems to make the progress bar jump ahead faster.

The point of the home business is not really money, although it is nice. The point is to earn all the connections perks. Once they know every sim in the whole neighborhood, they will have a much easier time finding future mates that meet the legacy "requirements." (as ugly as possible)

People are in the yard trying to decide whether or not they are willing to hang out at the Thayer house. It's the most popular hangout in all of Pleasantview now. People come from all over town to slap dance, steal gnomes and eat meals cooked by Bigfoot, not to mention complain about dirty plates and get zapped by the SentryBot. I have actually seen sims gain positive star points after getting zapped and before running off the lot. The whole Thayer-house experience sounds like a blast, doesn't it? Oh, and now the whole town does the chest pound gesture and can slap dance. :P

Garridan is on his way off the lot to go steal back their gnomes. With the home business, it has become a full-time occupation to steal back gnomes, even with the SentryBot zapping them. Why do sims look so sinister when they're going to retrieve their own property? And why can't they leave the lot to steal other people's gnomes? It seems only fair.

Now this was a trip. Ackerley started spying on Mortimer before dark. Mortimer has been here at the Thayer house the whole time, and I didn't notice myself until he just walked out of the garage. I can see why Ackerley is confused. That would explain why Mortimer hasn't run over and slapped him yet. So now I wonder what this means... Does Mortimer have an evil/less evil twin? Does he have a clone? The truth is out there...

Ch. 5: Who said twinzrcute?

Seeing Marsha Bruenig always brings up feelings of dread in me. Sooner or later every simmer is doomed to countless calls from Marsha or some similar sim-stalker in their game who is determined to be BFFs with everyone. Fortunately, she has not yet met anyone in the Thayer family, but it is inevitable, isn't it? I think she's circling the block. I'm not looking forward to the day when one of the sim kids brings her home as a "friend" from school. I don't think I'm just going to tolerate her this time around. Most of the Thayer kids are Scorpios with 1 nice point, so I'm pretty sure they can make enemies with her if she gets annoying. Angry sim kids don't kick over the trash can, do they?

Darcie thought about being ugly as a child, but she's not that bad-looking as a teen. A new hairstyle, some makeup, and a non-Bruty shirt would go a long way for her. Bummer.

I went ahead and sent her to college right away, because the Legacy house is full. I don't want any more babies this generation, but I need less sims to micromanage. She looks a little uglier as a YA than a teen, but I just won't really know who to choose as the heir until they all get to college and I can compare them. All the ugly traits tend to be subtler on sim females, although her mother Rose is an exception.

Meadow will never outgrow her love of the Smustle. What a goofball.

Glowing twins in matching jammies -- a cute coincidence. Cute, but I don't want to see cute anymore. Cute is for other sims. Bring on the ugly!

Fulton is developing some real UGG-potential in the nose/mouth region. Way to uglify, kid!

Besides being ugly, these twins have something else in common...

They absolutely love jumping on beds. I have never seen sim kids jump on beds as much as these two do. Since Seasons is out, I have to constantly occupy them with other stuff to do so they don't overheat and burst into flames. I know they can't, it's just that I would prefer they burned to death than get taken by the Social Worker. At least they could be resurrected if they burst into flames. As soon as I am not paying attention to them and they get a moment of free time, I hear their hysterical laughing and "ka-thunk, ka-thunk, ka-thunk..."

It's never to soon to start thinking about future ugly spouses. Sandy Bruty is always a popular Uglacy choice. Garridan doesn't agree, but what does he know -- he's only 7 years old. That and he's bounced so much that I'm sure he and his brother have brain damage.

Weekends were made for the Smustle at the Thayer house. They invite friends and family over, and it seems like all they do is eat and Smustle. Once it starts, it goes on for hours. It makes for some really green-funky guests.

Does there seem to be something amiss in this picture? I'm curious to know what you think. Keep in mind I have no CC, and I have not ever played with the Ottomans.

I decided it was time for Meadow to enjoy her last days without having to work. Actually, I just want to let her go "free range" so I can enjoy her last days. I get tired of micromanaging sims so that they can be ready for work every day. Even taking her numerous vacation days seems to be too much to think about. It's just too hard to cancel out that carpool. ;)

Ackerley is still looking for future UGG spouses for his boys. He called the exterminator, even though they had no bugs, to meet Carmen Patch who kinda looks like one. He thinks she's really hot, LOL. She does look an awful lot like she could be Rose's twin sister.

I let Meadow have a couple of sips of elixir so she and Russ can be the same age again. He gained about 6 days from his Greek house glitch. Honestly, I just wasn't ready to let her go yet. I never liked her as a teen townie. She has been a real aspiration-killer in the past for some of my sims. (turning down stuff like first kisses, going steady and pledging to a Greek house) But she has made up for it by being a really fun founder. She's a little ditsy, but has a good personality. I have come to like her quite a bit.

I let Russ retire as well. Of course, this means that he and Meadow will hang all over each other for their remaining days -- that is when they're not Smustling, peeing or napping.

Fulton got fat, so I had him work out. It reminds me of the motto, "I may be FAT, but you're UGLY...and I can DIET!" In his case, he's also ugly. The poor kid may as well not be ugly and fat.

I'm just making sure Darcie has a chance to meet Beverly's Economics professor. I played Beverly's house long enough to invite them both over and introduce them, just in case Darcie is the heiress.

I thought this was cute with them all synchronized and heading out to the bus in their school uniforms.

I have no hope for you to be ugly, kid. Just grow up already and get out.

Evers is still not bad-looking , especially standing next to his parents.

Evers' genetics finally caught up with him. He's not exactly UGG-ugly, but he's definitely not a cutie anymore either.

Fulton's workouts finally paid off. Now he can go back to being just plain ugly.

Ackerley rolled up a want to go into the military, so I decided to let him since Meadow and Russ have both retired. Because of his 4.0 in college and his maxed skills, he was able to start as a Commander, and was promoted his first day to Astronaut.

In the next update the Thayers take a vacation to their cabin, Villa di Simoleon, at Three Lakes. Maybe they will meet some ugly locals and vacationers.

Ch. 4: A Rose By Any Other Name...

A Rose by any other name... would make more sense, as roses are supposed to be pretty, and this one definitely isn't. As you can see, Ackerley is the Generation 2 heir (a big surprise I'm sure, as I really built up a lot of doubt in that last chapter), and he has kissed and made up with Rose. Rose has moved in with $3000.

Beverly has moved back home temporarily, and I figured why not make her happy even though I'm bitterly disappointed in her for not being ugly. The matchmaker Madame Fuchs got her full $5000 this time, so she set Beverly up with Phoenix. They have two bolts, so there is no need to look further.

It didn't take long to for Ackerley to propose to Rose. Beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder. They have two bolts for each other.

Rose did not get along well with her future sister-in-law, but Beverly was going to move out soon, so I didn't even try to make them get along.

Ackerley and Rose took a little, ahem, purple hearts spin in the car and heard the sound of a lullaby. I doubt it was the radio.

Love was definitely getting nauseatingly thick in the air with another engagement between Beverly and Phoenix.

I just plopped a wedding arch on the front lawn and got started on weddings. Only 3 sims attended the wedding of Beverly and Phoenix, although I guess I won't count Laura since she was only there on one of her scheduled rounds to kick over the trash can.

Phoenix said he was this rich: $$$, but he was not a rich sim according to the game. I think he only had $7000, so he must be either delusional or a liar. He certainly got the benefit of marrying Beverly, though, as she actually is a rich sim.

Shortly thereafter, they moved out and bought the house behind Don Lothario.

Ackerley and Rose had no guests at their ceremony, but I guess I can see why. Weddings are supposed to be beautiful.

Because he loves to cook Lobster Thermidor, but he burns it more often than not. Of course, I don't ever try to stop him from eating his burnt lobster no matter how much he gags on it.

I can't wait to see what kind of genetic mutations we get to see in Generation 3.

For some weird reason, Rose feels the need to change into this hairstyle when pregnant. I didn't set it up that way, and it doesn't show up in her portrait that way either. She goes back to the ponytail when she gives birth. She does look a little less ape-like with shorter hair. I could change to this style for her permanently, but ugliness is the goal. Why try to detract from the perfection that is Rose?

The firstborn of Gen. 3 is a baby girl named Darcie. Darcie means "from the stronghold or dark one." Well, Rose is a dark one, sorta. Darcie doesn't even want to look at her mother in case the ugly is contagious.

As a toddler, Darcie looks like a little boy with her haircut. She avoids eye contact with her father, too. She seems to be the only sim so far who realizes this is an Uglacy. Ackerley carries on the tradition of his father by teaching most of the toddler skills to his children.

Nanny Calista has been with the family since Ackerley was born. She and Russ don't get along at all. They hate each other.

Every time she comes to the house they poke, slap and shove each other. All they need is Curly, and they could be the Three Stooges. Thankfully, Russ isn't very nice and doesn't feel the need go weep like a little girl when the nanny pokes him. When I get tired of the daily drama, I send Russ to take a nap.

Time for another (hopefully ugly) baby.

This is a baby boy named Evers. Evers means "wild boar." Let's hope he lives up to his name. Please be ugly, kiddo.

Darcie has more UGG-potential than her Aunt Beverly did, but time will tell.

Ackerley achieved his LTW to become a Media Magnate. Did you wonder what in the heck a media magnate is? I did. I looked up magnate in the dictionary and got this definition: magnate: a person of rank, power, influence, or distinction often in a specified area. I also spent a few seconds on Google, and the only names I recognized were Oprah and Ted Turner. That's where my curiosity ran out.

Rose goes into labor while Russ shows his concern for her pain by concentrating on his cheesecake.

This baby boy is named Fulton. Fulton means "from a field." It seemed close enough to "meadow" to me, and she is the grandmother.

And his cheesecake twin is named Garridan. Garridan means "you hid." I hope the ugliness will make someone want to hide. I know it's a big stretch, but work with me.

I know what this may look like, but I assure you that Beverly is not mean enough to be doing the joy buzzer prank on Darcie, she's just meeting her niece for the first time. They get along quite well.

Fulton is less cute, and hopefully won't outgrow it. He is a Scorpio (9-7-9-8-1).

Garridan is also odd-looking, but I'm not ready to hide from him yet. Garridan is yet another Scorpio (8-7-8-7-1). That means that every one of the 3rd Generation kids are Scorpios like Ackerley.

Poor Ackerley looks sad after the loss of his job as a Media Magnate (whatever the heck that is, it's still unclear to me). I don't really care that he got fired because he is already permaplat, and if he stays home full-time I can get rid of Nanny Calista for awhile.

Ch. 3 Gen. 2 Teens and College

Once I was able to pry Ackerley out of the picture, I was able to see that Beverly is still not UGG-worthy as a teen. She has a bit of a large nose and an odd chin, but is a normal decent-looking teen.

She rolled the Fortune aspiration with a Lifetime Want of Earning $100,000. Her turn-ons are blond hair and high body skills, and her turn-off is brown hair.

Chesley got the pink jammies. He fits right in in the pink house, and matches the nursery. As you can see, Russ still enjoys teaching toddler skills.

This was a surprise, as it always is. I was glad Beverly was able to get the Extraterrestrial Reparations Grant. It looks like Meadow was concerned that the aliens would do violence toward her daughter. I know it's a bad pun, but it's one my husband is fond of using when referring to movies with too much "violins."

I always think it's strange that Knowledge sims react negatively this way to abduction since they always want it to happen again. Maybe it's a sort of roller coaster experience for them. You're dying to get off the thing, but as soon as you do, you want to get back on.

Interesting conversation topic, and Russ seems to be glad to reminisce with her about their first woo-hoo.

And now it's time for Russ to become an elder, While Meadow does a mind-meld on Chesley.

Russ doesn't improve that much with age as far as his looks go.

Russ seems a bit depressed to be over the hill, and not even the sight of a sparkly, levitating toddler can snap him out of his funk.

Chesley, stop being cute, darnit. You'll never be UGG-worthy, will you?

Here are Beverly and Ackerley at University. Beverly is still a failure when it comes to the UGG Legacy. I would be really depressed by her if Ackerley didn't get uglier with each transition.

Since they had plenty of scholarship money, I had them rent 80 Crumplebottom Drive and turn it into a Greek house. I let them choose the majors they rolled a want for, so Beverley became an Economics major, while Ackerley became a Mathematics major.

Ackerley loves to primp just like his father Russ. It's so funny to watch him.

Ackerley met an interesting friend his first day of college. Usually the streaker takes off quickly, but this one hung around a long time. It was somewhat disturbing.

He even liked playing kicky ball in the buff. Yikes.

Ackerley used the college directory to meet a couple of girls I thought were the most UGG-worthy and become friends with them. He invited Laura and Rose over to see if he had chemistry with either of them.

After checking out both girls, he realized he had two bolts for Rose and asked her on a date.

That instantly angered Laura who felt she had been cheated on, although I have no idea why since I was completely unaware of any crush between them. Now he had a really bad date with Rose and both girls were mad at him.

Rose sent him this lovely card in the mail. She is even scarier-looking when she's angry. Laura just decided to kick over his trash, over and over again. Given a choice, I think I prefer the card actually.

Back at the main house...

Meadow finally filled up her empty head and reached her LTW of becoming Education Minister.

And became an elder the same evening. What a day! But wait, there's more.

I then had Russ call to throw an anniversary party, and he was able to achieve his LTW of reaching his golden anniversary.

And then I realized that Meadow's second LTW was to reach her golden anniversary.

It was a somewhat wild and disturbing party, as you can see, but it was an experiment to see if the same tactics work for anniversary party scores as they do for wedding parties. I suppose getting Meadow and Russ dressed again would have been a nice touch.

But was quite easily a Roof Raiser.

Teen Chesley is not as cute as he was as a kid, but is by no means ugly. In my disappointment, I forgot to take a screenshot of his aspiration and turn-ons. Oh well. Chesley rolled knowledge with the Lifetime Want of Maxing All Skills. His turn-ons are black hair and high charisma, and his turn-off is jewelry.

This was a weird glitch. Russ was visiting his kids at the UGG Greek house when he got too cold outside talking to his buddy the mailman, Pao. He came inside to the bathroom and aged himself back to adult, adding himself to the list of playable sims. It was weird. I had to age him back to adult with the age sims cheat and unselect him with the testing cheats, but he did leave and go back home. Ch. 2: Spawn of Meadow

I decided Meadow needed a little makeup to make her look older than 14. Without any custom content, this will have to do.

Russ does a lot of primping. Either he doesn't realize he's ugly, or he's very proud to be ugly. He's definitely proud to be Meadow's husband, because her reputation precedes her. She is definitely one of the hottest sims in the neighborhood, especially since the disappearancce of Bella Goth.

Meadow got stuck with the ugly gray maternity shirt. Why couldn't they get choices like with other clothes? I don't really know what she's doing just sitting here. Contemplating the joys of motherhood? Getting in touch with her inner sim?

I guess she may just be tired. I wonder how sims breathe in their food like that. I usually put a stereo in the dining room so they will wake up and finish eating.

Look, she has rings like Saturn!

And finally, she gives birth to a red-headed son. His name is Ackerley, which means "from the oak-tree meadow." Since it had the word "meadow" in it, I decided it would be a good name for him.

What's wrong, Meadow? Even though she just gave birth, she is ready to have more babies.

Let's see if Ackerley looks like his dad...

He's not too bad yet, but maybe he has UGG-potential. You never really know how sims will turn out.

Ackerley is a Scorpio (9-8-9-3-1) with a very similar personality to his dad's, only he has just one nice point.

Russ is a good dad, who always rolls up wants to teach his kids their toddler skills.

Awww... he's actually kind of cute. Let's see what childhood does to his face. Maybe it will explode. We can only hope.

Hmmmm... not an explosion, but he's not as cute as he was, which is a good thing for the UGG Legacy.

Right away he started zipping around the house, cleaning everything. I love it when sim kids do that. I have never seen that happen in real life, though. Maybe other people's kids love cleaning.

Ackerley and Chandler Platz do not get along at all. That's good, though. Now Chandler won't be calling him on the phone for the rest of his life.

I let Meadow have her wish for another baby. She chose the bathroom to gave birth, which is always such a great room for photos, right?

And here we have baby Beverly, another redhead. Beverly means "beaver meadow." I wonder how many parents knew before naming their daughters that.

Russ was in the living room for Beverly's birth having sympathetic labor pains.

Let's see what happens to Beverly's face when Russ toddlerifies her...

She is kind of ugly. It's hard to say if it's the baldness or if she's just plain ugly. Time will tell.

Beverly is an Aries (9-8-4-3-4).

Ackerley grew up alone by the trash can. What a nice simmer I am. I just prefer to get it over with and not mess with cakes and parties.

He's definitely getting quite a large mouth, so there is hope for ugliness.

Ackerley rolled knowledge and has a Lifetime Want of becoming a Media Magnate. His is turned on by jewelry and athletic sims, and turned off by custom hair.

Beverly decided to fall asleep with her head in the potty. I hope for her sake the bowl is empty.

And here is the moment of truth. I have high hopes that she will stay ugly.

Darn you, cuteness! My hopes have been cruelly dashed. Why can't she stay ugly?

Beverly does the same thing Ackerley did when she grows up. She also has the "scrubbing bubbles" and loves to clean.

Ackerley brought Destry Wade home from school one day. Destry has some serious potential for a future UGG Legacy spouse! I will keep him in mind if we ever get an ugly girl.

And last but not least, another redheaded baby boy Chesley was born in the garage. He has Meadow's skin tone and eyes. Chesley means "camp meadow."

Russ reached the top of the criminal career track, becoming a Criminal Mastermind. I could have given him a different job, but this one seemed so fitting since he started out as a burglar.

I forgot to take pictures of the progress building the house, but here it is in its finished state. It's very pink, but I assume that pink is Meadow's favorite color. Everything that can be should be pink.

Russ is off to work in his, ahem, work uniform. If only real criminal masterminds wore that they would be so much easier for the police to spot.

Ackerley is a chess cheater. I guess that's because of his one nice point. At least Meadow is bright enough to catch him some of the time.

Time to grow up little Chesley...

And he's cute too. *sobs* He definitely takes more after Meadow in his looks than the other two children. His personality is Aries (7-10-9-3-2).

Speaking of cuties, it's time for Beverly to become a teen.

Of course, Ackerley chose that moment to hog the spotlight...

Ch. 1: The UGG Legacy Begins

I probably should have cloned Meadow instead of just growing her up. I did get rid of her skills, so as not to cheat too much. The only advantage she ended up with over a CAS sim was a few friends. She lost the pink UGG boots and grew up in this evening gown. Since she doesn't really look any older, maybe she thought it would help her seem more mature.

Her house is nothing to be excited about, but I just started her off in her future master bedroom with a few necessities. A two-story farmhouse is what it will eventually be.

Meadow seems surprised to discover that books contain helpful information. She must have been too busy dating Legacy teens when she was in school to notice. Now she has a great deal of catching up to do. Her Lifetime Want is to become Education Minister. It certainly is a lofty goal for such an empty head as hers, but she is a self-confident sim. She can accomplish anything she sets her mind to.

After a few minutes of study, however, it became clear that building skills is boring. Dating is much more fun, especially since she can now get married and have babies. Yes, Meadow is a family sim. Jill Fuchs is the local con artist known as the Matchmaker. I love to see her choices when you pay her the minimum amount. It's almost like a game, or maybe a gameshow. Let's see what Meadow gets for $10...

Contestant #1 is Mr. Korey Jitmakusol, a private school headmaster. He's somewhat ugly, but I'm not sure if he is ugly enough for this challenge. But before I rule him out, let's see if there's any chemistry...

Not only is there zero chemistry, but Mr. Jitmakusol demands to know why Meadow skipped school today and threatens her with detention. Yes, the Matchmaker sure knows how to work her magic. She just chooses not to for less than $5000.

Contestant #2 is Neil LeTourneau. There is no chemistry with Neil either, plus he is way too attractive. Also, I wonder if he is in any way related to Brandi LeTourneau. I hate Brandi. We must move on...

Contestant #3 is Abhijeet Deppiesse, who also has no chemistry with Meadow and is not quite ugly enough. Well, that's all we have time for today, folks. No lovely, er ugly parting gifts for Meadow this time. Tune in next time to see what new tricks the Matchmaker has up her puffed sleeves.

The next day Meadow took a job in the military in order to begin paying the bills. It isn't what she really wants to do, but it will pay pretty well until she can find a job in the education field.

In order to make more money in the military, she needs some body skill points. However, pink sweats are not the regulation PT uniform.

After all that work and working out, it's time for some fun, and what could possibly be more fun than the Smustle? So what if if makes you look certifiably insane.

The matchmaker is back, which means that we now have...

Contestant #4! Yes, it's Russ Bear, one of Pleasantview's most notorious criminals. I'm sure that Madame Fuchs thinks he is suitable punishment considering how little Meadow pays her for her matchmaking services.

But for whatever reason, Meadow finds Russ quite attractive. Since I doubt there is an uglier sim in all of Pleasantview or the surrounding area, she can have him. Russ is the perfect match for the UGG Legacy. Yay, Russ Bear!

Awww... or Ewww..., you decide.

But wait, is Meadow already having second thoughts about Russ? Has she noticed that he is hideous?

Nah, that's just her face frozen in "funky dance mode." That tooth stuck through her cheek is pretty scary -- it's the first time I've seen that glitch, and I hope it's the last time. It's going to get ugly enough in this Legacy without that.

And so the whirlwind courtship begins: They kiss in the rain.. How romantic... *cough*

While painful to watch, the face-sucking continued inside the house as well. It was their first date, a dream date no less, and they were in love. One thing led to another until it became inevitable...

Instant Engagement...

Instant Wedding...

And look, they have wallpaper! Russ brought in a much-needed $8000, which helps to decorate and add on to the house.

Oh, and also some instant woohoo.

Soon there were spinning purple hearts and the sound of a lullaby. Generation 2 is... spawned. Let the UGG-liness begin.

Intro: Another New Legacy (because I can't start too many)

My UGG Legacy is an "Uglacy", an idea started by the brilliant Candi020765 who wrote the must-read Uglacy and Prettacy Legacy stories. In 10 generations I would like to see how ugly I can get Meadow's descendants to be. Love her or hate her, if you play The Sims 2, chances are she has broken the heart of at least one of your teen sims. Hopefully I will be able to breed in the worst Maxis/EAaxis-template traits and by generation 10 you will really be able to say, "UGG!"

My wonderful husband just bought me a brand new computer (Dell Inspiron 530 if you care to know), so I have not yet cluttered it up with a ton of custom content. I'm thinking for this legacy I will leave out most of the CC, since it is an Uglacy. It would seem contradictory to add pretty face replacement templates, skins, eyes, hair, clothes -- you get the idea.
